The Gateway Review: a Journal of Magical Realism is a biannual print literary journal that features the best contemporary magical realism, surrealism, and new fabulism written by new and emerging, along with established and seasoned, writers.
About the Editor
Joe Baumann is the author of Ivory Children: Flash Fictions (Redbird Chapbooks 2013). His fiction and essays have appeared in numerous journals, including The Lindenwood Review, Hawai’i Review, Willow Review, Sheepshead Review, and many others. He has been a finalist for both the New Letters Andrew Cappon Prize for Fiction and the River Styx Microfiction Award. He teaches composition, literature, and creative writing at St. Charles Community College in St. Charles, Missouri.
The head editor is assisted by students enrolled in ENG 202: Creative Writing II at St. Charles Community College, who screen, read, and discuss all submissions when determining which works will be accepted for publication.
